Videos Of The Week
A Look At The Coal Sector & The Consequences of DIE In The Military
It’s been an interesting week in financial markets, and next week should be the same for a couple of stocks in the portfolio. This week I have a couple videos for readers. One is a video focused on all things coal. It covers some stocks in the sector, the outlook for thermal vs. metallurgical coal, and other things to watch for 2024. The other video is focused on the US military, and some of the changes that have happened (and then accelerated over the last decade). It’s one of the things I have started to pay more attention to in recent months with all of the stuff going on around the world.
In It To Win It w/ Matt Warder
I’m planning on writing an update in a couple weeks on Peabody and Warrior once they release year end earnings (Peabody is this week and Warrior is the week after if I remember right), but this video should give coal investors some food for thought until then. Matt Warder is very knowledgeable on the coal sector, and they discuss the characteristics of different stocks in the sector, and how this year might play out for coal prices and each stock.
TFTC w/ Matthew Lohmeier
This one doesn’t have much of an impact on financial markets (at least not yet), but it was one of the most interesting videos I watched this week. The focus of the video is the DIE (diversity, inclusion, and equity) impact on the military, but they also touch on a wide range of topics. They touch on the recruiting and retainment issues in the military (which was at least in part due to experimental medicine mandates), and other reasons that they are having trouble with the most important demographic for the military, which is white men, primarily from the center of the country and the South.
They didn’t just cover the military, but the big picture of what is going on in America. Immigration, debt levels, and the overextension of American empire along with other problems that could be coming in the next decade. Even if the topics from this video aren’t going to impact financial markets in the next year, it’s something to be aware of for the next decade.
