Rumors Of Peace, A Firsthand Account Of What Is Going On In Gaza & A Primer On Water In Oil And Gas
It’s been a busy week, but it seems like there are more rumors of peace in Eastern Europe, including talks between President Trump and Vladimir Putin that are set for later this week in Alaska. Hopefully they can figure something out, but I’m skeptical for now. Western leaders haven’t exactly given the Russians much reason to trust them over the last several years, so I’ll be in the wait and see camp. I’m not the only one, and
’s recent post is worth a read. The Tucker Carlson Show w/ Tony Aguilar
Listening to Tucker Carlson is about as close as I get to paying attention to mainstream media, but he is far and away the most important figure in the media right now, and the timing of his guests is not an accident. I could write several pages on Tony Aguilar’s firsthand account on what is going on in Gaza, but readers would be better off watching it for themselves. I listened to Aguilar’s second appearance yesterday, and it’s not all that surprising that support for “our greatest ally” continues to fall. It’s another issue where the generational shift is going to play a part, but both of these videos are worth a watch.
The Business Brew w/ James Davolos
If you’re more interested in financial markets or energy, this is the one for you. The short summary of the video is that it is a very good introduction to the water subsector of energy services. It’s primarily focused on the Permian Basin and the major players there, and how Horizon Kinetics views the sector. They talk about the unique aspects of several individual names, and why the sector is interesting even if oil production in the Permian is peaking. Other investors have highlighted water as something to watch in the Basin, and this video would be a good place to started for anyone interested in some of the companies that focus on it.
