Podcasts & Videos Of The Week
A Broad Coverage Of Energy (Including Offshore), And An Honorable Mention Podcast On America's Health Crisis & State Of The Food Chain
I hope everyone had a good Fourth Of July and enjoyed some fireworks with family and friends. This week I will be back to posting and will also be introducing a new series of posts later in the week. The podcasts and videos of the week will include one focused on energy, another focused on the offshore sector, and one focused health and the US food chain.
Wall Street For Main Street w/ Dan Steffens
This YouTube video was an interesting discussion on some of the recent developments in the energy sector. They talk about recent mergers and acquisitions in the energy space, the Permian Basin, and individual companies that might be worth a closer look. While certain investors are not bullish on the energy sector today, I think the odds are high that the second half of the year will be better for energy investors than the first half.

Value Hive: Offshore Update w/ Judd Arnold
Enough has been happening in the offshore sector that merits another update on the sector, which I plan to post in the next couple days. This podcast covers some of the largest companies in the offshore sector, as well as some other situations that guest Judd Arnold is watching. The stocks in the offshore sector have had a monster run in recent weeks, and I’m looking for a pullback where I might be able to add shares before we head higher.
Honorable Mention: Invest Like The Best w/ Justin Mares on The US Health Crisis
This one doesn’t focus on the investments in the energy sector, but it was an interesting listen for several reasons. It talks about the state of food and medicine in the United States, and some of the problems that we are seeing with the health of the average American today. They talk about some of the unnatural stuff that we put on food, GMOs (genetically modified organisms), and processed food like seed oils.
Spending the time and effort investing in your health might not have a quick financial reward, but long term, it’s hard to think of a better investment of your time than investing in your health. I’m not here to lecture you into listening to the podcast, but spending an hour listening the podcast might be good kick in the rear to motivate you to potentially change bad eating or exercise habits.
