Podcast & Videos of The Week
Inflection Investing, World War III Or Cold War II & Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers
Last week was a busy one, but I’ll be back to the regular program for posts this week. I watched a lot of interesting videos and podcasts this week, but a couple stood out. The first podcast was a look at inflection investing, and different things that factor into one fund manager’s process. The next one covers the geopolitical landscape and what’s going on around the world. They also discuss the idea that the current conflicts could look more like the Cold War instead of World War III, but we will have to wait and see on that. The last video doesn’t focus on finance, but if you’re interested in health and wellness, it might be worth a watch. It covers the potential hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and how it could benefit people with different conditions.
Taylor Made Macro w/ Harris Kupperman
I enjoy listening to Kuppy’s podcast appearances, and he is an entertaining follow on Twitter. He hasn’t made it a secret that he is bullish on Uranium and offshore drillers, but this podcast is a little different. He talks about his investment process, and what he looks for when he is evaluating sectors and companies as potential investments. They talk about valuations and inflections, and how businesses on the brink of a cyclical upswing can deliver outsized returns for investors.
Tommy’s Podcast: Cold War II w/ Vince Lanci
This podcast was an interesting look at current events and what’s going on in the world. I have been hearing more and more that World War III has already started, and while that might be true, they discuss why current conflicts might look more like a new version of the Cold War. I’m interested to see how Ukraine progresses, but it looks like Russia is starting to speed things up. The Middle East still looks like a powder keg to me, and they discuss it a bit in this video.
One of the recent news items I found interesting is the International Criminal Court potentially issuing arrest warrants for Israeli government officials, which led to a predictable response from some American politicians. We will see if that comes to pass, and how the situation in Gaza plays out, but I expect more of the same from our government. The video is on Rumble, but it’s worth a watch if you’re interested in current events and geopolitics.

Honorable Mention: Hidden Forces w/ Scott Sherr
This one doesn’t deal with markets or current events, but it was one of the most interesting videos I watched this week. Health and fitness is one of the topics I follow, and one that I have started to pay more attention to over the last couple years. They talk about the potential health benefits of hyperbaric chambers, and Scott talks about what he has seen for people with different conditions. If you’re interested in health, or are looking for ideas outside of the stuff you will hear from mainstream medicine, you will enjoy this one.
