Geopolitics In Ukraine & The Middle East, And A Video On Uranium
This week I watched some interesting videos, but one in particular stood out. I frequently include Tom Luongo in my podcasts/videos of the week posts, but this week he brought on Mark Wauck. It was a great conversation on all of the crazy things going on around the world and they discuss a bunch of different topics. The other video I wanted to highlight was the recent MacroVoices podcast, which focuses on uranium.
Gold Goats n’ Guns w/ Mark Wauck
This was my favorite podcast of the last week, and it was a wide ranging discussion of current events. They talk about some of things going on in the Middle East with Yemen, Israel, and potential issues with shipping lanes. They also discuss Ukraine, and how things might progress as 2024 continues. Another topic is what could happen with this year’s election, and the circus that is our federal government. I have recommended Mark’s Substack a couple of times, and I wanted to link it again for anyone interested in frequent updates on current geopolitical events. If you’re interested in what is going on around the world, this podcast is for you.
MacroVoices w/ Justin Huhn
With the Sprott Uranium Miners ETF URNM 0.00%↑ up 8% and the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust up more than 6% on Friday, I figured I would mention this podcast as a topic that could be worth watching for 2024. Huhn talks about the supply and demand deficit for uranium, the issues with Russia’s influence on uranium refining, and production in Kazakhstan, among other important things that could have an impact on uranium. The uranium bull market is still only in the 3rd or 4th inning in my opinion, but it’s probably not as much of a fat pitch as it was over the last couple years. I think that we have at least three years of runway, but I will be reevaluating along the way.
