Tom Luongo Is Back Again & Using Real Estate Cycles To Evaluate Markets
I wasn’t able to put a second post last week, but I have a couple posts lined up for this week, including the last stock in my portfolio, which is also my most recent purchase. I’m very excited about the new stock, and I will basically be looking to let my portfolio ride from here. The other post will based on a conversation I had last week that made me think about my portfolio strategy and a couple other related topics.
Gold, Goats n’ Guns w/ Rudy Havenstein
If you have a Twitter account and you are looking for entertainment and laughs on the economy, central banking, and financial markets, Rudy Havenstein is a must follow. He also has a Substack, but he is anonymous, and he has recently started appearing on podcasts talking about current events. His most recent appearance was on Gold, Goats n’ Guns with Tom Luongo, and they cover a wide range of topics. If you want to laugh about inflation, politics, and the idiots in charge, this one is for you.
Finding Value Finance - Using the Real Estate Cycle To Evaluate Other Assets
This is the first time I have included one of his videos in the Videos of the Week, but he has guests on that I respect and uses an interesting mix of charts and fundamental analysis to analyze markets. This one was interesting because he uses the real estate cycle to look at commodities and other markets, but I found it to be a fresh approach to looking at markets that I haven’t seen before.
I came to the conclusion that commodities like oil (more specifically offshore), coal, and uranium are due for a huge run based on the capital investment cycle and the cheap valuations and lack of investment in those sectors, but we both come to the same conclusion that the next 3 to 5 years is going to be a good time to be invested in commodities.
