There has been a lot of talk about a resolution in the Middle East, but I would fade the idea of a quick fix that the market might be hoping for. When they are continuing to hit targets and are sending another carrier group to the area, along with the number of troops that have been deployed, that doesn’t scream that things are about to wind down. It suggests the opposite. There are also rumblings that Chechen forces might deploy Iran if the US puts boots on the ground, but we will see on that. I’m curious to see what Trump says in his address tonight, but it always comes back to this rule: don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do.
A Quick Update & A New Buy
I have been forcing myself to sit on my hands for the last several weeks, and I think that my post last week about a near term bottom for precious metals and copper might have been pretty well timed. There is some news worth mentioning on one of the holdings I have been sitting on, as well as a new purchase.
