Given human driven co2 (not our own respiration) is 3% of 0.04% by mass, each co2 molecule would have to be 100s of deg.F. all the time in order to transfer enough heat to raise all the other gases of the atmosphere to a temperature 0.5 degF on a long time average. But co2 gas at 1 bar is way, way below freezing, and is found mostly at very high altitude. A cold gas CANNOT transfer heat to a warmer one (basic 2nd law of Thermodynamics).
