I recently had
on the podcast to talk about Avance Gas (ticker: AVACF), an interesting opportunity in the shipping sector. He’s a fellow long suffering Mariners fan, and writes the Substack The Baerlocher Bearing. He said I should check out Avance Gas, so I figured I would have him on to walk through the company.We take a look at VLGCs (very large gas carriers), and what is going on with Avance Gas, including a huge dividend for the last quarter. We also talk about recent vessel sales by the company, what their dividend looks like moving forward (Alan thinks it will be in the 15% ballpark), and the medium sized new builds set to be delivered by the end of 2026. Investors looking at Avance should be aware that shares are illiquid and trade on the OTC market. I don’t own shares yet, but the company is now on my watchlist.
